Vision Quest Guides, visionquest, wilderness guides

Gary CaganoffGary Caganoff is a wilderness guide, social ecologist, and transpersonal psychotherapist. As a young adult he spent the best part of the 1980s and 1990s exploring some of the planet's wildest places, most notably the north eastern regions of the Amazon Basin, the Peruvian Andes, and the World Heritage wilderness areas of the South West National Park in Tasmania, and the Blue Mountains National Park in NSW, Australia. He has undertaken many personal spontaneous unorganised vision quests in these wildernss areas and is highly experienced in supporting and guiding others on their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual journeys. Gary also holds a current Wilderness First Aid certificate.

Gary's personal website Landscapes of the Soul has amazing stories and stunning photos of some his journeys. His experiences led him into environmental education through documentary filmmaking and as a wilderness guide in the beautiful Blue Mountains. He also works with individuals and groups in meditation, personal development, ecopsychology and transpersonal psychotherapy. Gary's passion is to guide people out into the wilds and into their inner world using the soul of landscapes to navigate the landscapes of the soul.

Yeshi Paul EperjesiYeshi Eperjesi offers an integrated approach drawing from his path of thirty five years in Wilderness Education, Psychotherapy, Social Ecology, Meditation and Dance. This includes living five years on five continents learning shamanic and yogic traditions from his Teachers. On Vision Quest he guides individuals to presence so they can experience a reconnection within themselves, with the earth and with others.

A pioneer of modern outdoor education and executive coaching in Australia with twelve years corporate leadership experience as Managing Director of Compass Learning at the time a highly successful Training and Development Company. Yeshi has arrived at being at home in his own nature when guiding Vision Quest.

Lee Trew spent a year in wilderness, living in a tipi, putting into practise the skills he now teaches, but he grew up in London and is still getting over it. His headlong sprint away from ‘civilisation’ took him to wild places in Scotland, Canada, the States and now Australia, which he feels blessed to call home.

After a decade working with a youth camping organisation in the UK, teaching primitive living skills, and leading rites of passage, he gained a diploma in Sustainable Land Management and Permaculture design, and a post-graduate diploma in holistic counselling and psychotherapy. He has a private practice in Bondi.

Lee received much of his training at Tom Brown Jr’s Tracker School in the US, and is deeply committed to mastering and passing on the cultural legacy he learned there, as handed down by Apache elder; Grandfather Stalking Wolf.

He vision quests regularly and facilitates vision quests for others. He sees the primitive living skills as a powerful set of transformative practices, as well as a way for us modern folk to re-connect with the Earth, and experience nature as we were meant to.
